NanoMQ is an MQTT broker. Prior to 0.24.14, NanoMQ's broker-side MQTT v5 nmq_subinfo_decode() function in nng/src/sp/protocol/mqtt/mqtt_parser.c reuses len_of_varint from the outer Properties Length while parsing each SUBSCRIPTION_IDENTIFIER. A remote client can send a SUBSCRIBE packet with a multi-byte Properties Length and repeated subscription identifiers, causing get_var_integer() to begin at an incorrect offset and read beyond the heap message buffer. The flaw is reachable through the broker receive path and can crash the broker, while the separately reported topic-option off-by-one occurs later and is not this vulnerability. This issue is fixed in version 0.24.14.

libheif is a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. From 1.19.0 until 1.23.3, the no-icef full-item branch of unc_decoder::get_compressed_image_data_uncompressed() in libheif/codecs/uncompressed/unc_decoder.cc retains an addition-based range check that can wrap when a crafted uncompressed tile grid produces a large range_start_offset and range_size. The overflow makes the bounds comparison pass and allows heif_image_handle_decode_image_tile() to call memcpy() with an invalid source pointer and a very large length when decoding a valid high-index advertised tile. This incomplete remediation of CVE-2026-62292 can reliably crash tile-processing applications, while whole-image decoding is not claimed to reach the demonstrated path. This issue is fixed in version 1.23.3.

libheif is a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. Prior to 1.19.6, Op_RGB24_32_to_YCbCr::convert_colorspace() stores image-plane strides in an integer width that can overflow for extremely large RGB images created through heif_image_create() and heif_image_add_plane(). The resulting wrapped stride causes the conversion loop in libheif/color-conversion/rgb2yuv.cc to compute an invalid input pointer and read beyond the allocated interleaved plane while heif_context_encode_image() performs RGB-to-YCbCr conversion. This can crash the encoding process. This issue is fixed in version 1.19.6.

  • CVSS 4.0 v3·EPSS -·No fix yet

libheif is a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. Prior to 1.23.2, the public heif_region_item_add_region_inline_mask_data() function in libheif/api/libheif/heif_regions.cc accepts mask_data_len without verifying that it equals the byte count required by width and height. A later heif_region_get_mask_image() call derives the read length from the region geometry, so an undersized stored buffer causes heif_region_get_inline_mask_image() to read beyond the heap allocation and copy adjacent bytes into the returned monochrome mask image. This can disclose heap data or crash an application that constructs region metadata through the writer API, while the file-parsing path is not affected because it validates the canonical mask size. This issue is fixed in version 1.23.2.

OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, A truncated tga can leave a pending gif frame that is processed during output close. gifsplitpalette() computes numpixels multiplied by the palette partition width in signed 32-bit arithmetic; a large image overflows that intermediate, corrupts subpixelsa, and drives an out-of-bounds read while building the gif palette, resulting in a process crash and denial of service. The affected implementation is identified by src/gif.imageio/gif.h, GifSplitPalette(), numPixels, subPixelsA, GIFOutput, and truncated TGA input, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. gptp_mi_qualify_announce() in subsys/net/l2/ethernet/gptp/gptp_mi.c walks the Path Trace TLV of a received IEEE 802.1AS Announce message, comparing each clock identity against the local one. The loop bound was taken solely from the attacker-controlled wire field announce->steps_removed (accepted up to 254), never from announce->tlv.len, which is the field that states how many identities the TLV actually carries. Because path_sequence is the flexible member of the wire TLV (struct gptp_path_trace_tlv) and GPTP_ANNOUNCE() yields a raw pointer into the received packet buffer, the memcmp() inside the loop can address memory well past the end of the received frame. The stack's only length validation, GPTP_ANNOUNCE_CHECK_LEN(), requires the received gPTP payload to be exactly 68 + tlv.len bytes

  • CVSS 3.1 v3·EPSS -·No fix yet

gptp_handle_msg() in subsys/net/l2/ethernet/gptp/gptp.c dereferenced the gPTP header returned by GPTP_HDR() and switched on hdr->message_type without first checking that the received frame carries at least sizeof(struct gptp_hdr) (34) bytes of payload. The header accessor gptp_get_hdr() deliberately never fails for a short buffer — it returns pkt->frags->data and leaves validation to its callers — so a truncated frame produced a header pointer covering memory beyond the received data. The per-message-type checks that follow do not compensate: GPTP_VALID_LEN() reduces to len > 60 once the Ethernet header has been pulled, which is false for every fixed-size gPTP message, so GPTP_CHECK_LEN() never rejects a truncated SYNC, FOLLOWUP, PDELAY_RESP or SIGNALING message. Imager versions from 0.45_02 before 1.035 for Perl read outside the EXIF block via unchecked start offsets in tiff_load_ifd. tiff_load_ifd() validates an IFD entry's data by checking that `entry->offset + entry->size` stays within the EXIF block, and never checks the start offset itself. Where that sum is not the real end of the data, the check passes with the entry starting outside the block. Through 1.032 `entry->offset` is a plain int, so on the usual two's-complement implementations an offset with the high bit set converts to negative and the sum can land back inside the block. From 1.033 the field is a size_t and the addition wraps only where size_t is 32 bits. The IFD's own start offset is checked the same way and wraps where unsigned long is 32 bits, which includes 64-bit Windows.

PoDoFo is a C++17 PDF manipulation library. From version 1.0.0 until 1.1.1, processing a crafted PDF with an Indexed color-space image can cause a heap out-of-bounds read in PdfColorSpaceFilterIndexed::FetchScanLine in src/podofo/main/PdfColorSpaceFilter.cpp. PODOFO_INVARIANT does not perform a runtime check, so a pixel index greater than or equal to m_MapSize can address beyond m_lookup. PdfColorSpaceFilterFactory::TryCreateFromObject also validates hival with an incorrect conjunction and no upper bound, allowing malformed Indexed color-space metadata outside the expected range. The resulting read can disclose adjacent heap data or crash the processing application. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.1.

OpenDDS is an open source C++ implementation of the Object Management Group (OMG) Data Distribution Service (DDS). Prior to 3.34.0, a network attacker can crash a reachable OpenDDS participant by sending a malformed RTPS UDP submessage whose crafted length or sequence-number state causes dds/DCPS/transport/rtps_udp/RtpsUdpReceiveStrategy.cpp in RtpsUdpReceiveStrategy::handle_input() to advance ACE_Message_Block::rd_ptr() beyond valid data. The parser can then call dds/DCPS/transport/rtps_udp/RtpsSampleHeader.cpp in RtpsSampleHeader::init(), which dereferences the invalid read pointer without first validating it against wr_ptr() or ensuring that a complete submessage header remains. The resulting SIGSEGV occurs in the receive thread, terminates the DDS process, and destroys the DDS entities

Prior to 0.16.0, a malicious AMQP server can send an undersized HEADER or METHOD frame during client login and cause unsigned size_t underflow in amqp_handle_input() in librabbitmq/amqp_connection.c. The parser subtracts HEADER_SIZE, fixed per-frame fields, and FOOTER_SIZE from state->target_size without first checking the minimum frame length. The wrapped encoded.len value is passed through amqp_decode_properties() to amqp_decode_table_internal(), where it defeats bounds checks and causes an out-of-bounds read and process crash. An on-path attacker can also trigger the issue when AMQP traffic is not protected by TLS with certificate validation. mport is the MidnightBSD Package Manager. Prior to 2.7.8, ping() in libmport/ping.c accepted ICMP replies without validating icmp_id or icmp_seq and parsed the reply using a fixed IP-header offset instead of ip_hl. A network attacker able to inject or spoof visible ICMP replies could influence mirror latency selection, while a malformed packet carrying IP options could shift the ICMP header and trigger an out-of-bounds read. This issue is fixed in version 2.7.8.

A flaw was found in Redis community. The cluster bus packet parser, responsible for handling PING, PONG, and MEET packets, fails to properly validate string-carrying extensions for null-termination. This oversight allows a remote attacker to craft a malicious packet, leading to an out-of-bounds read when the packet's payload is processed. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could result in the disclosure of sensitive information or a remote denial of service (DoS).

On affected platforms running Arista EOS with IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol) snooping configured (enabled by default on all VLANs), a network-adjacent unauthenticated attacker can send malformed network packets on an affected VLAN to cause the IGMP snooping agent to terminate unexpectedly. This results in a temporary disruption of multicast traffic management, which may cause multicast traffic to be flooded to all ports of the affected VLAN until the service recovers. Repeated exploitation could result in a prolonged loss of intended multicast forwarding behavior.
