| CVE-2026-44639 | Low | 3.7 v3 | - | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-18 | NanoMQ is an MQTT broker. Prior to 0.24.14, NanoMQ's MQTT v5 property decoder in nng/src/supplemental/mqtt/mqtt_codec.c uses property_append() to walk the entire linked list for each property added by decode_buf_properties(). A remote unauthenticated client can supply a PUBLISH or SUBSCRIBE packet containing many User Properties, causing O(N²) linked-list insertion and CPU work that makes the broker unresponsive; repeated packets can sustain the denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 0.24.14. |
| CVE-2026-92987 | High | 7.5 v3 | - | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-17 | roxmltree through 0.21.1 performs quadratic-time attribute and namespace validation during XML parsing without limits on attribute count. Attackers can craft XML documents with tens of thousands of attributes on a single element to consume excessive CPU time and cause denial of service. |
| CVE-2026-82760 | High | 8.2 v4 | - | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-17 | Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in team-alembic AshAuthentication allows an unauthenticated attacker to exhaust CPU and memory via an oversized base62 segment in a submitted API key. AshAuthentication.Base.decode62/1 in lib/ash_authentication/base.ex splits its argument into one binary per character and folds it with charval62/2, which recomputes Integer.pow(62, index) at every position instead of accumulating by Horner's method, so cost grows roughly cubically in the input length. bindecode62/1 in the same module is quadratic through Integer.undigits/2 and Integer.digits/2. Neither function caps byte_size/1, and AshAuthentication.Strategy.ApiKey.SignInPreparation passes the underscore-separated segments of the submitted key straight into both, before any key lookup and w |
| CVE-2026-19668 | Medium | 5.3 v3 | - | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-16 | A BIND recursive resolver may experience excessive resource consumption if it encounters large numbers of a particular kind of invalid DNSSEC record. Default limits on "max-records-per-type" and "max-types-per-name" help mitigate the exposure. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.11.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.27, 9.21.0 through 9.21.25, 9.11.3-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.27-S1. |
| CVE-2026-92365 | Medium | 4.3 v3 | - | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-16 | A vulnerability was found in vllm-project vllm up to 0.29.0. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file vllm/v1/sample/thinking_budget_state.py. The manipulation results in inefficient algorithmic complexity. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. |
| CVE-2026-92091 | Medium | 5.9 v3 | - | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-16 | A flaw was found in jwcrypto. The JWK.import_key() function validates the key_ops JWK member for duplicate values using an algorithm with O(n^2) time complexity, and the length of key_ops is not bounded. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can supply a JWK with a large key_ops array to an application that passes attacker-controlled key material to a public key-import API (reachable via ECDH-ES key agreement, OIDC dynamic client registration, DPoP, or ACME account key registration, among others) to consume excessive CPU time, resulting in a denial of service. |
| CVE-2026-49250 | High | 8.7 v4 | 0.3% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-14 | Conform, a type-safe form validation library, allows the parsing of nested objects in the form of object.property. From 1.8.0 until 1.19.4, the parseSubmission future API in packages/conform-dom/formdata.ts repeatedly scans FormData or URLSearchParams entries by each unique field name. An unauthenticated attacker can submit a crafted form containing many unique names, causing excessive synchronous CPU work and denial of service in an application that passes the submission to parseSubmission. Applications should continue to enforce request parsing limits before invoking Conform. This issue is fixed in version 1.19.4. |
| CVE-2026-86349 | Medium | 4.3 v3 | 0.2% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-14 | Mattermost versions 11.9.x <= 11.9.0, 11.8.x <= 11.8.4, 11.7.x <= 11.7.8, 10.11.x <= 10.11.22 fail to limit the nesting depth in the server-side Markdown parser which allows an authenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (CPU resource exhaustion) via a crafted post containing deeply nested blockquotes or list items.. Mattermost Advisory ID: MMSA-2026-00707 |
| CVE-2026-12882 | Medium | 4.3 v3 | 0.2% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-14 | Mattermost versions 11.9.x <= 11.9.0, 11.8.x <= 11.8.4, 11.7.x <= 11.7.7, 10.11.x <= 10.11.22 fail to parse Markdown autolinks with unmatched trailing closing parentheses in linear time, which allows an authenticated user with permission to create posts to cause excessive server CPU consumption and degrade availability for other users via specially crafted post or message attachment content. Mattermost Advisory ID: MMSA-2026-00703 |
| CVE-2026-90776 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.5% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-13 | Nodemailer versions 9.1.0 through 10.0.4 contain a quadratic time complexity vulnerability in the addressparser component when parsing email addresses with RFC 5322 comments. Attackers can craft malicious email headers with comment-separated atoms to consume excessive CPU and block the Node.js event loop for several seconds, causing denial of service. |
| CVE-2026-87822 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.4% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-09 | t-digest versions 3.1 through 3.3 fail to validate centroid means during deserialization in MergingDigest.fromBytes, allowing attackers to inject NaN values that bypass validation checks. Attackers can craft malicious serialized digests containing NaN centroids that degrade sorting performance from O(n log n) to O(n squared), causing severe processing delays during merge operations. |
| CVE-2024-58382 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-09 | league/commonmark versions before 2.6.0 contain polynomial time complexity vulnerabilities in Markdown parsing that allow attackers to cause denial of service. Attackers can submit carefully crafted Markdown inputs designed to trigger worst-case performance, and sending multiple requests in parallel exhausts CPU resources and PHP-FPM processes. |
| CVE-2023-54395 | Medium | 4.3 v3 | 0.3% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-09 | PocketMine-MP versions before 4.12.5 contain a denial-of-service vulnerability in ModalFormResponsePacket processing that allows attackers to cause server resource exhaustion by sending large JSON payloads. Attackers can send numerous oversized modal form response packets to consume CPU time and prevent the server from processing legitimate connections. |
| CVE-2026-86435 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-07 | commonmark versions from 1.5.0 before 2.8.4 contain a denial of service vulnerability in the Footnote extension that fails to deduplicate footnote definitions. Attackers can craft documents with duplicate footnote definitions and references to create quadratic output expansion, consuming excessive memory and CPU to exhaust server resources. |
| CVE-2026-86434 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-07 | league/commonmark versions >= 2.0.0 and < 2.8.4 (patched in 2.9.0) contain a denial of service vulnerability in UniqueSlugNormalizer::normalize(), which restarts its numeric-suffix search from 1 on every slug collision, resulting in O(K^2) time complexity for K headings that collapse to the same base slug. The vulnerable path is reached when HeadingPermalinkExtension, FootnoteExtension, or TableOfContentsExtension is registered. An unauthenticated attacker can force many headings onto a single base slug (e.g., via empty ATX headings, identical heading text, or punctuation-only headings) in a small Markdown document, consuming excessive CPU and denying service. |
| CVE-2026-86433 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-07 | commonmark versions from 1.5.0 before 2.8.4 contain a denial of service vulnerability in the Attributes extension where AttributesListener::findTargetAndDirection() performs quadratic-time sibling list scanning. Unauthenticated attackers can submit approximately 32 KB of repeated attribute blocks to cause parsing to take over 5 seconds, exhausting server resources. |
| CVE-2026-86430 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-07 | league/commonmark versions before 2.9.1 contain multiple denial of service vulnerabilities in fenced code block detection, reference link label lookup, and emphasis delimiter processing that perform super-linear work on crafted input. Attackers can submit specially crafted Markdown with long backtick runs, nested brackets, or delimiter sequences to consume disproportionate CPU time and prevent legitimate requests from completing. |
| CVE-2026-86429 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-07 | The league/commonmark (thephpleague/commonmark) library in versions >= 1.5.0 and < 2.9.1 contains quadratic parsing complexity in its SmartPunctExtension and AttributesExtension. When either extension is explicitly registered on the Environment (they are not enabled by default and are excluded from the standard CommonMark and GitHub-Flavored Markdown converters), an unauthenticated attacker can submit small, specially crafted Markdown documents — such as text alternating with unpaired quotes, contiguous runs of block-level attribute blocks, or repeated class attributes — to trigger disproportionate CPU consumption and cause a denial of service. Fixed in 2.9.1. |
| CVE-2026-86428 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-07 | commonmark versions from 1.5.0 before 2.10.0 contain a denial of service vulnerability in the AttributesExtension when processing distinctly-named attributes. Attackers can submit Markdown with numerous distinct attribute names to cause quadratic-time attribute merging and filtering, consuming disproportionate CPU resources and preventing legitimate requests from completing. |
| CVE-2026-83613 | High | 8.7 v4 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-07 | xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. Prior to @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12, and in xmldom version 0.6.0 and earlier, DOMHandler.startElement in lib/dom-parser.js inserts every parsed attribute through setAttributeNode, while NamedNodeMap.setNamedItem in lib/dom.js calls the linear getNamedItem or getNamedItemNS lookup for each insertion. A well-formed element with many distinct attributes therefore requires quadratic comparisons during DOMParser.parseFromString() and can stall a Node.js event loop before application validation. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12; no fixed version is available for xmldom. |
| CVE-2026-83614 | High | 8.7 v4 | 0.4% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-06 | xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. Prior to @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12, and in xmldom versions 0.3.0 through 0.6.0, two independent quadratic paths can cause denial of service. In lib/sax.js, parseElementStartPart repeatedly rescans a malformed tag name to the next > during single-character recovery; in lib/dom.js, normalize() repeatedly removes and appends adjacent text nodes, causing quadratic reindexing and string rebuilding. The first path is reachable through default DOMParser.parseFromString() processing, while the second is also reachable through a direct normalize() call on a programmatically constructed DOM, and endDocument invokes that normalization after parsing. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/ |
| CVE-2026-82729 | Medium | 6.3 v4 | 0.5% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-04 | Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in elixir-mint mint allows a remote HTTP server to exhaust CPU on the client host and cause a denial of service. parse_hex_prefix/2 in lib/mint/http1/parse.ex folds each hex digit of a chunked response's chunk-size field into an arbitrary-precision accumulator with acc * 16 + digit and imposes no limit on the digit count. Because the accumulator grows without bound, the multiplication is not constant time and one pass over N digits costs O(N squared). handle_data/2 prepends conn.buffer and re-parses from the start on every socket message, so a server that dribbles the digits out in small packets makes the client pay that cost repeatedly. A run of roughly 512,000 hex digits costs over ten seconds of CPU in a single pass, measured on stock de |
| CVE-2026-85446 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.4% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-03 | MOOS-IvP versions through 24.8.1 contain a quadratic processing vulnerability in uFldNodeComms where each new node identity creates a ledger entry and triggers all-pairs distribution work. Attackers can supply unbounded distinct node names in reports to drive the shoreside broker into quadratic processing, delaying or preventing distribution of legitimate node reports. |
| CVE-2026-71429 | Medium | 6.2 v3 | 0.1% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-03 | stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint. Prior to 3.5.0, the path filters pick, ignore, filter, and replace in src/core/filters/filter-base.js recompute the full path string from the nesting stack for every checkable token. Because the stack length equals the current nesting depth and a checkable token is emitted at every level, a depth D document costs O(D²) rather than O(D) to process. The issue is triggered by nesting depth rather than byte volume, including the documented pick({filter: 'data'}) traversal-until-match path, so an application that sends untrusted JSON through a string or RegExp filter can block the Node.js event loop and cause denial of service with a small deeply nested document. The streamArray, s |
| CVE-2026-84378 | Medium | 5.9 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-02 | HTTPX2 is a next generation HTTP client for Python. From 2.5.0 until 2.10.0, the HTTPX2 Server-Sent Events parser in src/httpx2/httpx2/_sse.py repeatedly copies and rescans buffered text in _SSELineDecoder.decode() when an attacker-controlled or compromised SSE endpoint splits one unterminated line across many response chunks. The behavior affects httpx2.Client.sse() and httpx2.AsyncClient.sse(), and the total processing work grows quadratically with the line length, allowing a crafted stream to consume excessive CPU and block a synchronous worker or asynchronous event loop. This issue is fixed in version 2.10.0. |
| CVE-2026-84375 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.4% | - | Fix available | 2026-09-01 | js-yaml is a JavaScript YAML parser and dumper. From 3.0.0 until 3.15.2 and 4.3.2, maxTotalMergeKeys in lib/js-yaml/loader.js and lib/loader.js does not count empty mapping sources while processing the merge key <<. An attacker can alias a large sequence of empty mappings into many merge targets, causing O(N * K) processing while totalMergeKeys remains unchanged and the configured resource limit is never reached. A relatively small YAML document can therefore cause prolonged CPU consumption in applications that parse untrusted YAML, and merge processing is enabled by default on these release lines. This issue is fixed in versions 3.15.2 and 4.3.2. |
| CVE-2026-84305 | Medium | 5.1 v4 | 0.1% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-01 | sqlparse is a non-validating SQL parser module for Python. Prior to 0.6.0, sqlparse.format(sql, reindent=True) and sqlformat --reindent route attacker-controlled parenthesized tuple lists through ReindentFilter._get_offset() in sqlparse/filters/reindent.py, where _flatten_up_to_token() repeatedly rebuilds and joins the statement prefix. Thousands of offset calculations walk an expanding token tree, producing quadratic CPU consumption for inputs that remain below MAX_GROUPING_TOKENS and causing request delays, reduced throughput, or worker starvation. This issue is fixed in version 0.6.0. |
| CVE-2026-49329 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.4% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-09-01 | A flaw was found in openshift/oauth-server. The OAuth login and error page endpoints pass the unauthenticated Accept-Language header to golang.org/x/text/language.ParseAcceptLanguage() without input validation. A bypass of the CVE-2022-32149 mitigation exists: the upstream guard counts only '-' characters but the internal BCP 47 scanner aliases '_' to '-' after the guard check. An unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted Accept-Language header using '_' separators to trigger quadratic-time parsing, consuming excessive CPU and denying authentication to all cluster users. |
| CVE-2026-82398 | Medium | 6.9 v4 | 0.3% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-08-31 | pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.15.0, an attacker can craft a PDF that causes long runtimes when the pypdf/_utils.py function read_until_whitespace reads a stream containing a long run of bytes without whitespace. The function repeatedly performs immutable bytes concatenation in a one-byte loop, causing quadratic processing cost for the long non-whitespace input. This issue is fixed in version 6.15.0. |
| CVE-2026-77831 | Low | 2.1 v4 | 0.1% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-08-30 | Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in ash-project ash_paper_trail allows a user who can submit a large array attribute to a paper-trailed create or update action to cause a denial of service through excessive CPU and memory use. With full-diff change tracking, AshPaperTrail.ChangeBuilders.FullDiff.ListChange pairs each prior array element against the new list by rebuilding the remaining-elements accumulator with acc ++ [tuple] on every step, copying the growing list each time, so the pairing scales cubically in the array length. Nothing bounds the length and the value comes straight from action input, so one request carrying a large accepted {:array, _} attribute forces tens of seconds of CPU and multi-gigabyte allocations. This issue affects ash_paper_trail: from 0.1.1 bef |
| CVE-2026-81722 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.4% | - | Fix available | 2026-08-27 | nltk PorterStemmer in versions <= 3.10.2 (fixed in 3.10.3) contains an inefficient-algorithmic-complexity denial of service in PorterStemmer.stem(). The _is_consonant() helper walks backward over the entire run of trailing 'y' characters on every call, and _measure() invokes it for each stem position, causing O(n^2) behavior. A single ~20-50 KB untrusted token consisting of a long run of the letter 'y' followed by a matching suffix (e.g., 'ness') can pin a CPU core for seconds to minutes, causing availability impact. |
| CVE-2026-75005 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.8% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-08-27 | Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in Apache APISIX. A single small request can pin a gateway worker at 100% CPU for an extended period in graphql-limit-count routes. This issue affects Apache APISIX: 3.17.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.18.0, which fixes the issue. |
| CVE-2026-77680 | Medium | 5.3 v3 | 0.3% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-08-25 | An algorithmic complexity flaw exists in libsoup's HTTP Range header processing that persists after the CVE-2025-32907 fix. CVE-2025-32907 addressed memory amplification when a client repeated the same range many times in a single Range header. Commit 9bb92f7a corrected merge correctness in soup_message_headers_get_ranges_internal() in libsoup/soup-message-headers.c, but the coalescing loop still removes merged ranges using g_array_remove_index() for each coalesced element. Because GArray is contiguous, each mid-array removal performs an O(N) memmove. When many identical satisfiable ranges are supplied (for example bytes=0-0 repeated thousands of times), the loop performs O(N²) work coalescing them into a single range. The vulnerable path is reachable server-side from handle_partial_get( |
| CVE-2026-55099 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.4% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-08-25 | icalendar is an RFC 5545 compatible parser and generator of iCalendar files for Python. From 7.1.0 until 7.1.3, the Component equality method in src/icalendar/cal/component.py compares nested subcomponents with two membership loops, and each membership test invokes the same method on child components, causing O(2^n) work relative to nesting depth. Component.from_ical accepts arbitrarily nested BEGIN:VEVENT blocks without a depth limit, so an attacker can submit a sub-kilobyte .ics file containing equal nested subtrees and trigger the cost when an application performs equality, inequality, membership, deduplication, test-assertion, round-trip, or normalization comparisons. Parsing alone does not trigger the issue, and comparisons that differ early short-circuit, but a few hundred bytes can |
| CVE-2026-70453 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.5% | - | Fix available | 2026-08-23 | rsync before 3.5.0 contains an algorithmic complexity vulnerability in the hash_search() function that allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service by delivering a carefully constructed file list. A sender can exploit the quadratic-time worst-case behavior in hash lookups to exhaust receiver CPU resources with a modest number of crafted entries, causing a sustained denial of service. |
| CVE-2026-66046 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.6% | - | Fix available | 2026-08-23 | Expat through 2.8.3 contains a denial of service vulnerability caused by quadratic algorithmic complexity in the storeAtts() function in xmlparse.c, where processing N specified attributes with non-normalized values triggers an O(N^2) linear scan of elementType->defaultAtts to determine CDATA status. A remote unauthenticated attacker can supply a single well-formed XML document of a few megabytes to an application parsing untrusted XML to cause excessive CPU consumption, resulting in denial of service without requiring authentication, external entity resolution, or non-default parser options. |
| CVE-2026-56860 | Medium | 5.9 v3 | 0.5% | - | Fix available | 2026-08-20 | Previously, resolving relative paths containing parent directory ('..') segments performed string conversions and buffer rewrites on each step, resulting in quadratic time complexity and high memory allocation overhead. Now, path resolution operates on a byte buffer using index-based backtracking for '..' segments, eliminating the quadratic time complexity and significantly reducing memory allocations. |
| CVE-2026-76401 | Medium | 5.9 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-08-19 | In Splunk Connect for Kafka versions below 2.2.7, an unauthenticated user who can reach the Kafka Connect Representational State Transfer (REST) API could configure timestamp extraction with a crafted regular expression and matching event data to block a Kafka Connect worker thread, stopping event delivery for the affected connector. The vulnerability is possible because timestamp extraction evaluates customer-supplied regular expressions without a time limit. For more information see Install Splunk Connect for Kafka (https://help.splunk.com/en/data-management/integrate-data-with-add-ons/splunk-connect-for-kafka/2.2/install/install-splunk-connect-for-kafka) and Data ingestion parameters for Splunk Connect for Kafka (https://help.splunk.com/en/data-management/integrate-data-with-add-ons/spl |
| CVE-2026-75596 | High | 8.7 v4 | 0.4% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-08-19 | Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to 4.1.137.Final and 4.2.17.Final, the default io.netty.handler.ssl.SniHandler constructors use the pre-handshake ClientHello aggregation path in handler/src/main/java/io/netty/handler/ssl/SslClientHelloHandler.java at io.netty.handler.ssl.SslClientHelloHandler#decode, where handshakeBuffer.clear() and writeBytes() recopy all previously received body bytes for every additional TLS record. An unauthenticated remote peer can advertise a large ClientHello and deliver its body in thousands of tiny records, causing quadratic CPU work on the event loop before the TLS handshake completes and degrading TLS handling for other clients. This issue is fixed in versions 4.1.137.Final and 4.2.17.Final. |
| CVE-2026-71491 | High | 8.7 v4 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-08-17 | sqlparse is a non-validating SQL parser module for Python. Prior to 0.6.0, group_comments in sqlparse/engine/grouping.py repeatedly rescans comment-only statements before the MAX_GROUPING_TOKENS guard, causing quadratic CPU consumption through sqlparse.parse() and sqlparse.format(sql, strip_comments=True). This issue is fixed in version 0.6.0. |
| CVE-2026-54284 | High | 8.7 v4 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-08-17 | sqlparse is a non-validating SQL parser module for Python. Prior to 0.6.0, TokenList construction and string conversion in sqlparse/sql.py repeatedly flatten nested token subtrees constructed by group_parenthesis and group_case, causing quadratic CPU consumption through sqlparse.parse(), sqlparse.format(), and sqlparse.split() before depth and token limits terminate processing. This issue is fixed in version 0.6.0. |
| CVE-2026-72685 | Medium | 4.3 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-08-13 | A flaw in Elasticsearch allows a low-privileged authenticated user who can index documents to submit a single small document containing a crafted user-supplied input. Processing one such document occupies a worker thread from a bounded pool for a disproportionate amount of time, degrading the availability of indexing operations on the affected node. |
| CVE-2026-72663 | Medium | 6.5 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-08-13 | Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity (CWE-407) in Kibana can lead to denial of service via Input Data Manipulation (CAPEC-153). A specially crafted, deeply nested expression submitted to a Kibana TSVB visualization is evaluated with a worst-case cost that grows disproportionately with the size of the input. Because the evaluation runs synchronously, a single request consumes the Kibana request-processing thread indefinitely, and Kibana stops responding to all further requests until the service is restarted. |
| CVE-2026-73643 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.3% | - | Fix available | 2026-08-13 | js-yaml is a JavaScript YAML parser and dumper. From 5.0.0 until 5.2.2, parsing a small YAML document can take exponential time when an application calls load() or loadAll() on untrusted input. In src/parser/parser.ts, readFlowCollection uses restoreState and calls parseNode a second time when a flow-sequence entry is recognized as a key: value pair. If the key is a nested flow sequence of the same shape, every level is parsed twice, causing O(2^n) work and allowing an input under 200 bytes to keep one CPU busy for minutes, block the Node.js event loop, and stall the process. No anchors, aliases, merges, tags, or nondefault options are required. This issue is fixed in version 5.2.2. |
| CVE-2026-58436 | High | 7.5 v3 | 0.3% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-08-13 | ParseAcceptLanguage quadratic-time DoS via Locale middleware on unauthenticated requests |
| CVE-2026-73413 | High | 8.7 v4 | 0.3% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-08-12 | Shescape is a simple shell escape library for JavaScript. From 2.1.11 until 2.1.14 and 3.0.1, the flag-protection loop in compose in src/internal/compose.js repeatedly joins and slices flag fragments when flagProtection is enabled, which is the default, making processing quadratic in input size across the escape, escapeAll, quote, and quoteAll APIs. An attacker who can supply a large untrusted input containing many flag fragments can consume CPU and cause denial of service. This issue is fixed in versions 2.1.14 and 3.0.1. |
| CVE-2026-71848 | Medium | 5.3 v3 | 0.3% | - | -No fix available yet | 2026-08-07 | Hono is a Web application framework that provides support for any JavaScript runtime. From 4.12.0 to 4.12.33, the languageDetector middleware is vulnerable to algorithmic complexity denial of service when processing a crafted language tag containing a large number of hyphen separated subtags. To implement progressive language tag truncation, normalizeLanguage() repeatedly calls parts.slice(0, i).join('-') for every possible prefix, so the total amount of string processing grows quadratically with the number of subtags. Language values may come from a query parameter, cookie, Accept-Language header, or URL path, depending on the detector configuration, and the default detector order enables query string, cookie, and header detection, so applications using languageDetector() may expose this |

When comparing objects, the function recurses into each shared subtree twice, once in each direction, with no depth guard, making the running time exponential in nesting depth. A small, deeply nested document of a few hundred bytes (depth around 40) compared for equality consumes hours of CPU, and the cost roughly doubles with each additional level of nesting. An application that calls cJSON_Compare() on attacker-influenced JSON that is structurally equal to a reference document is exposed to a denial-of-service condition. |

To implement progressive language tag truncation, normalizeLanguage() repeatedly calls parts.slice(0, i).join('-') for every possible prefix, so the total amount of string processing grows quadratically with the number of subtags. Language values may come from a query parameter, cookie, Accept-Language header, or URL path, depending on the detector configuration, and the default detector order enables query string, cookie, and header detection, so applications using languageDetector() may expose this

cJSON through 1.7.19 contains an inefficient algorithmic complexity flaw in cJSON_Compare().

`Element.findall()` and fully-consumed `Element.iterfind()` exhibit `O(n^2)` time complexity when using XPath index predicates (e.g. `[1]`, `[last()]`, `[last()-N]`) on XML documents with many same-tag siblings. `Element.find()` is only affected when the first match is near the end of the sibling list, such as with `[last()]` or `[last()-N]`; `.//item[1]` short-circuits after the first match.
